Ehrentanz was imported from Germany as a yearling and presented for approval with the American Trakehner Association in November 2012. The inspection committee commented:
A majestic stallion with very good modern sport horse type
displaying outstanding athleticism and temperament.
Ehrentanz received 9s on his type, frame, and general impression, which earned him a Premium approved stallion status.





In 2015, Ehrentanz was approved by the ISR Oldenburg Registry NA and the sBs – Belgium Sport Horses – NA.
Ehrentanz has proven himself to be a successful performance horse. He has been very competitive in the young jumpers as a six and seven year old qualifying for the Young Horse Jumper Finals in Kentucky two years in a row!
As a 8 year old he started successfully showing in the Grand Prix level!
Now as a 10 year old he is placing consistently in the ribbons achieving 2nd place at the Regional Prix at Maffit Lake in August and 1st place at the Prix at Mason City in September.
His success in the show ring earned the abbreviation “Performance Gold” allowing him to now be Ehrentanz KD *Pg*
Above all, Ehrentanz has a very amateur friendly demeanor that makes him easy to work with, ride, and train. We chose the path of jumping but he has the movement and talent to go and be an upper level dressage horse as well.
Lots of People who see him go around a grand prix jumper course say he belongs into the international hunter derby ring because he makes it look so effortless and show such spectacular form over the fences as well as on the flat.
He has an excellent personality and is a favorite in the barn.
Ehrentanz’s Offspring
Ehrentanz does not just stamp his offspring with his looks, he also appears to pass his outstanding temperament on to all of his foals. Besides being attractive and athletic, Ehrentanz’s offspring show great playful character and an easy disposition. His oldest offspring are 5 now and turned into very athletic and brave young horses. Performing amazing in all the English riding disciplines.









Ehrentanz produces stunning black and bay foals. He has been DNA color tested and is E/E, A/a. He is homozygous for black and cannot produce a chestnut.
