Lucy is a 2 year old, 16hh registered Holsteiner mare with excellent pedigree that combines the best of Dutch and Hosteiner bloodlines.
Her sire Toronto was acquired by the Celle State Stud in Germany to further the jumping talent of their breeding program. His performance test single scored in jumping 9.3. His pedigree includes the famous stallions Now or Never and Voltaire, as well as the stallion Saros xx. Lucy’s mother is an imported German Hosteiner mare by the well knows Verband stallion Clearway.
Lucy is a gorgeous mover and has implacable temperament.
She came to us in October for one month of slow introduction to tack and rider. We sat up on her a handful of times and now she is back out on the field for the winter, but can be brought inside for potential buyers to meet her. We where extremely impressed with how Lucy handled everything. She came from her breeders field and adjusted immediately to living inside a stall and being turned out in an individual pen. Lucy never even flinched an eye when we started to put tack on her. Willing and interested in the new adventure she allowed the rider to sit up and move her around the ring. We had her one time in the free jump shoot where she was her normal cool collected self smartly sorting out the poles and small cross rails we put in front of her. Lucy has a very harmonic balanced way of moving. Rhythmic and effortless with a strong pushing hind end.
She will be a dream to work with, and has amazing talent to develop into any upper level discipline!
